Poetry Sweet Talking and Slow Walking
"Little birds in a nest,
Let's find out who flies the best.
Come on and take a chance.
Get into your jumping stance.
Leap from your tall tree.
Be the first to fly to me.
Hurry! Before your mom comes back.
...all I want is a nice snack..."
One baby stood on a ledge,
Prepared to jump off the edge.
The fox still sweet talking
Pacing and slow walking.
He stared at the nest on the shelf
And carefully thought to himself
"Wonder which to have for dinner...
The bigger one, not the thinner!"
"Stay up there!
He's not playing fair!
He just wants you to eat...
Don't move your little feet!"
Then the mother began her chase.
Into the woods the fox did race.
But of course mother hen
Was never ever seen again
